Stingless Bees in Belize

Saw these little things making the most amazing funnel shaped nest. Of course I didn’t want to get to close because I didn’t want to get stung. After speaking to one of the gardeners he told me that they are actually bees and have no sting. Their proper name is Tetragonisca anugustula, apparently they make amazing honey, the only problem is they are really small so the amount of honey they make is a really little, in a year they can make up to 1kg of honey.
